WONDER WOMAN’S NEW COSTUME LOOKS DUMB!
Ugh, now she doesn’t have pants like how it used to be? What is wrong with you, DC?
WE WANT DC TO LISTEN TO US!
Ugh, they acknowledged but they’re not doing it right
WE WANT WOMEN FRONT AND CENTER ON COMICS!
Ugh you’re not drawing them right
I don’t think anything DC does at this point will satisfy anyone. I agree DC has mishandled some things but I also think that we’re reaching a point of just complaining about any and every little thing.
The point of contention still is, as it always was, that people are getting tired of seeing all of the female leads drawn with body language and uniforms that make them appear less heroic, powerful, legitimate, and all-around able to be taken seriously than their male counterparts.
Ten Years Later: A Tribute 9/11
My favorite 9/11 tribute in New York City can be found in Bryant Park. 2,819 empty chairs are set up on the lawn facing the site where the World Trade Center once stood, one chair for every life lost. The number of empty chairs captures the enormity of the lives lost and the stark emptiness of it just drives home the point that I hope is never forgotten. 2,819 people were here one moment and gone the next. 2,819 went to work or boarded a plane one morning ten years ago thinking it would be another ordinary day and they never came home.

Fionna and Cake, Monday at 8!!!
Adam and I really worked to make this one special. We changed it a lot, the outline actually had no Ice Queen in it at all! No ball, no crystal sword… act two used to be a date in a restaurant! We both knew we wanted more fighting, and if there had to be a date, it would be a date with swords and skulls and fighting!
Personally I wanted this episode to be a jab at, but also a huge celebration of, the feeling of being a fan, of allowing something completely ridiculous to make your heart tighten or even, in some small way, change how you feel about yourself. I’m so fascinated by that feeling, it’s beautiful and messed up and embarrassing, it’s the reason I wanted to make cartoons!
PS- I fought for Marshall Lee- I wrote him lines but they were cut for time! I practically begged Pen to let me work overtime to put him back in the episode, even in some small way. I wanted him to be voiced by Dante Basco.
